Criminal/Family Lawyer 2 – 5 PAE

Job Summary

We have been exclusively briefed by a firm located NOR who requires an experienced Criminal Lawyer with an interest in family law. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established practice with a results focused and relaxed culture that values family commitments. Lawyers from other areas of specializations are welcome to apply as the client is happy to consider applicants if they have a transferable client base. 

About You

  • 2-5 years of experience PAE.
    • More senior candidates are welcome to apply if they have an existing client base.
  • Past experience in criminal law/family law.
    • Other legal specializations will be considered.
  • Confident in professional abilities and able to work self-sufficiently.
  • High attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Resilient personality.
  • Team player with a friendly personality.
  • Willing to contribute to the firm’s business development processes.
  • Experience with LEAP (desirable).

The Role

  • Providing legal advise to clients regarding a variety of family law matters including, but not limited to, custody arrangements, mediation, divorce, financial arrangements, and surrogacy.
  • Drafting of legal advise and documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, barristers, and other external parties.
  • Court appearances.
  • Working with administrative and secretarial support staff, delegating tasks.
  • Managing client files and database.

Solicitor (Employment Law) 2 – 4 PAE

Job Summary

We are currently on the look out for determined and diligent professionals, with an Employment Law background, to join our client’s team. The Role

  • Providing advice to clients on a variety of complex workplace issues including incidents and regulatory investigations.
  • Acting on behalf of clients i.e. coronials, inquiries, and civil litigation.
  • Drafting and negotiating employment agreements, independent contractor agreements and industrial instruments;
  • Liaising with clients to identify their strategic objectives and to ensure these are met.
  • Facilitating the litigation process i.e. preparation of witness statements, briefs and court documents.
  • Appearing in the State and Federal Courts and Tribunals.

About You

  • 2-4 years’ PAE.
  • Previous experience specializing in employment and industrial relations matters.
  • Regulatory compliance matters and general litigation experience desirable.

Senior Auditor (2 Roles Vacant) 

Job Summary

We are now recruiting two Senior Auditors for these highly respected and expanding mid-tier firms in the CBD. Our clients have had great successes in 2019 and are now looking to expand their audit teams with their sights set on an even better 2020. 

You will be working in high energy teams, led by Partners with a great depth of experience and knowledge, and will gain exposure to high profile ASX listed clients. These firms highly value their employees work-life balance so flexible working arrangements may be negotiated for the right candidate. 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing the external audits of portfolio of clients including ASX-listed companies.
  • Client liaison and relationship management.
  • Providing leadership and support to junior staff members.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in Audit
    • Recently graduated/less experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.
  • CA qualified, or nearing completion (highly desirable).

Job Summary

Our client, a well-respected boutique firm located in the CBD, is currently looking to add a Lawyer to their team who has at least 2 years’ PAE and previous experience in litigation. This role will be suited to a career-minded individual who enjoys all aspects of litigation and is focused on developing their practice in wills and estates law. You will be working alongside professional and experienced individuals in a supportive working culture. You will also gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of high net worth clients.

About You

  • Strong academic results (Distinction average and above).
  • At least 2 years of experience post-admission, preferably with strong dispute resolution experience.
  • Motivation to build a successful long-term career in wills and estates law.
  • Demonstrated history of liaising with a diverse range of clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office programs.
